Dreamy spaces

‘To sleep, perchance to dream….”

This bedroom went through a hugh transformation. The original walls were painted yellow with a pressed border ceiling trim, window scrim shades and too much furniture in the room. It had a solid door that opened into the room.

We created a lush sanctuary that the couple now enters via grand double French pocket doors with privacy glass. The use of beautiful glass beaded wall coverings, crown molding, a grand Swarovski chandelier, silk drapes and a custom bed made from vintage pearl gray velvet all came together in this luxurious space. By using a dark gray metallic paint finish on the ceiling, it gave the illusion of the room’s height being even greater than it’s nine feet. (Dark colors make walls recede). The custom pillows and embroidered silk organza shams added to the rooms beautiful aesthetic and the original art over the headboard worked beautifully to anchor the room. The bed is flanked by mirrored night stands with glass mosaic lamps.
