“Let there be light.”
The lighting in this great room is created from so many different sources-the monorail gallery lighting (to both define the seating area and illuminate the art), the pair of lamps on dimmer switches, the in glass cabinet lighting and the various mirrored pieces. These reflective surfaces create light, shadow and dimension while adding drama to the open space. The subtle striped walls change color and depth depending upon the source and direction of the light and the time of the day.
“Design is defined by light and shade, and appropriate lighting is enormously important.” – Albert Hadley
