Kitchens that ‘cook’

“The heart of the home.”

This modern and glamourous kitchen was designed for a couple living on the ocean in south Florida. They specified white lacquer cabinets and marble floors and the rest was left to me. One of my ‘signatures’ is the judicious use of glass mosaic tile to add light, drama and dimension to a small space. The iridescence of this particular choice from Italy had so many subtle shades of green, gold, lilac, & silver that it was a nice foil for the high gloss white cabinets, and crema marble floors. The shades of silver complemented the stainless appliances, sink, faucet, cabinet hardware and lighting fixtures. The piece de resistance was the magnificent Italian granite counter tops that added an earthy, organic element to the space with it’s subtle greens and sophisticated taupe and neutral striations.
